Day 35

Risotto

Okay, so this came from a box — I don’t have the time or energy for a high-maintenance rice dish after work. Anyhow, it was a Parmesan variety. Promising. And it was good, in a boxed food sort of way. I was a little disappointed, though, that it was nearly indistinguishable from Rice-a-Roni. Will give it a try at a restaurant.

  1. Risotto is a great base for heavier meat dishes. I’ve had some fantastic quail and lamb chops served over a creamy bed of this stuff and it really creates a nice combination.

  2. Risotto. Awesome. Did you see the Seinfeld episode about the risotto. Pretty much sums it up for me. Congrats on being freshly pressed!
