Day 96

Baby Portobellos

I’ve been putting off any exploration of the mushroom family. I’ve never really minded the flavor of a mushroom sauce, but I always eat around the actual bits. Suspiciously rubbery looking. Plus they’re fungi, for the love of god, and they have gills. Not promising. But I chopped these babies up with a roast and they weren’t gross at all.

  1. Ahh mushrooms…hated by many, loved dearly by me. And you! You should try a portobello mushroom burger but it may end in you having to wipe your brains off the walls (because it will have been blown…blown to smithereens).
