Day 160

Masala Dosa

(with some kind of coconut chutney) Another gift from work-buddy Kelly. Super sweet of her, but as unfamiliar smells wafted through my kitchen yet again, I started to feel a bit put upon. I was hungry and I just wanted a slice of pizza or some meatloaf and potatoes, for the love of god. So I stomped around the place with what my husband calls my “looks like someone just put a spoon of poop in your mouth” face. (It’s a look he’s very familiar with.) I sat down with a couple of these already trying to figure out what I was going to eat after I rejected them. But then I took a bite. The crepe-like things (is that the dosa?) were crunchy and good. And the potato/onion filling — what’s not to like? I opted out of the chutney, though — in a fit of Picky Niki rebellion.

  1. I’m so glad that you love Indian food! It makes me have hope for my sister. (=

  2. These are some of my favourites!!! I love the crunchy edges, usually accompanied with yummy coconut chutney. Mmm…
