Clam Pizza

Yikes, right? I thought that maybe for my first introduction to clams, I should disguise the little buggers behind layers of cheese and bread and garlic and bacon. But the pie was also awash in spinach, and that — not the clams — was its downfall. The green stuff was being way too bossy with its intense flavor, pushing around everything lovely in a pizza, while the clam bits quietly minded their own business.
