These were smoked herring fillets in a can. I had a bit on a cracker. Looked gross. Smelled gross. Truth is, it didn’t taste all that gross — just like a smoky tuna — but I couldn’t get past the first two problems. And, honestly, after washing my mouth out with a whole beer, I can still kind of taste it. My husband slurped up the whole can with a smile, though. More power to him.
