Work-buddy Kelly gave me this flat bread coated in za’atar — a spice combo of thyme, sesame seeds and sumac (no, not the poisonous kind, the lemony spice kind). It’s funny that she brought me this offering, because I had just ordered some za’atar (which I had never heard of before) from a fancy spice emporium. I tried her bread first — a little too za’atary. And we all know I’m a pain in the butt Goldilocks. I expect things to be just right. (And if not, I’ll break your stuff.) So I made a do-it-youself Baby Bear version with a light dusting on some crusty french bread. Just right.
